Vinyl Records are a weapon found in Dead Rising 2. It is plastic discs for storing and playing back music, which Chuck can use as an improvised weapon. The records shatter on impact, stumbling encroaching zombies but otherwise inflicting no damage at all.

The Sidewinder actual record

Actual record cover is the same as insert

  • The vinyl record is "The Sidewinder" by Lee Morgan, an actual record released in 1963 and the actual album cover art is used in the weapon model.
  • Lee Morgan, Joe Henderson, Barry Harris, Bob Crenshaw and Billy Higgins are all real-life musicians and may by association with this item, be said to exist in the Dead Rising Universe. This, as with Las Vegas, Nevada or Playboy Magazine, is one of the very rare instances of real-life persons or entities also existing in the DRU.
