A Lance is a weapon in Dead Rising 2. It is a spear designed to be used by a mounted warrior. The lance is longer, stouter and heavier than an infantry spear.

Dead rising lance main
  • Main: Tap X button/Square button to stab a zombie which knocks it to the ground. It takes 2 hits to kill a zombie with the lance.

  • Combo: During main attack , tap X button/Square button to thrust the lance (weapon) again.


Dead rising lance alternate
  • Alternate: Hold X button/Square button to impale the zombie and throw it over Chuck's shoulder.
    This animation is the same as the Pitchfork (see trivia below).
