The DRW Blast Frequency Gun (B.F.G.) is a weapon appearing late in Dead Rising 2. It can only be found in the underground, see locations, below. Its appearance is similar to a multicolor shotgun with holes.

The gun comes with 50 shots and shoots blue waves of noise which explodes heads with a plasma discharge surrounded by an electrical current that kills around 20-50 zombies, but does nothing against psychopaths.[Verification needed]

The official guide states that the B.F.G is a "special weapon engineered to be very effective versus gas zombies."[1]

This weapon can be combined with an Amplifier to create a Super B.F.G.. The Super B.F.G is the the most powerful firearm in the game which has only 15 shots before breaking[1]

Locations[]

  • One is located in the underground before the failed military rescue. Enter the underground from the entrance in the Royal Flush Plaza, once Chuck is underground go counter clockwise around the track and it will be on the first large raised section with the Servbot Masks on, once Chuck has the gun, head back up to the Royal Flush Plaza and go to the TuneMakers shop which has a Maintenance Room in the back and a large stack of amplifiers next to the Maintenance Room, allowing Chuck to build the Super B.F.G..
  • A B.F.G. is located in the Underground Secret Laboratory after the failed military rescue and after defeating scientists, Mark Bradson and Pearce Stephens during Case 7-2: The Only Lead and Off the Record: Case 8-2: The Only Lead. It is beside the lever Chuck pulls in the following cutscene. By leaving and entering repeatedly an infinite number of B.F.G.'s can be spawned.
